Magenta TV app

The Magenta TV app can be used both as a pure app offer (without a TV package) and as a second television via mobile devices.

With the help of the Magenta TV app, you can stream Magenta TV on almost all mobile devices. Simply download the app from the Apple App Store, Google Playstore or AppGallery. Log in with your username and password and you're ready to go. You can also use the app to manage recordings on your smartphone or access current program information.

The app options available are Magenta TV Smart (24 months minimum contract term) and Smart Flex (1 month minimum contract term). Both packages offer access to over 50 TV channels that you can watch via live stream on your tablet, smartphone or PC. You also get full access to the Megathek. If you have a SmartTV or a streaming stick, you can also access the content on your TV via the app.

What is Magenta TV?

Magenta TV is Deutsche Telekom's TV streaming service. This streaming service allows you to receive numerous TV channels. In addition, the integrated "Megathek" gives you access to a wide range of films, documentaries, entertainment shows and series. Magenta TV can be used on up to 3 devices at the same time - at home and on the go. If you want, you also have the option of booking various additional packages such as Magenta Sport. With Magenta TV, you can design your TV experience exactly the way you want it.

In addition, your television program is clearly bundled: the annoying search for apps is no longer necessary. With just one single user interface, you have access to the public television program, the Megathek and your accounts on other streaming services such as Sky, Amazon Prime or Netflix.

But that's not all. Magenta TV offers the following additional practical functions:

  1. Comprehensive search function: Find your favorite content quickly and easily.
  2. Restart: Watch programs you have already started from the beginning or jump back to the desired scene.
  3. Replay: Didn't have time to watch your favorite show on the day it aired? That's no problem at all. With the replay function, you can catch up on it up to 7 days after the broadcast date.
  4. Timeshift: Have you lost track of time while watching TV and have to go to an appointment? Then use the timeshift function to pause the program and continue at a later time.

Despite the large selection, we find the user interface of Magenta TV to be clearly designed, so that you can quickly find your way around - no matter which device you are using.

The combination of the classic television program with various streaming services and media libraries on just one single platform is very successful, as confirmed by numerous customer opinions. The price aspect is also convincing: Telekom customers in particular can often use all the advantages of Magenta TV for a relatively small additional charge.
